Dolphin Days Premiers June 1st in the U.K.

Just a quick reminder to all of our friends in the United Kingdom. Tune into Animal Planet on Monday, June 1st, 7:30 pm for the first episode of Dolphin Days! This fantastic 8-episode series focuses on Dolphin Research Center's family pod and all of our activities, as well as on spotted dolphins that have been studied for 25 years in the Bahamas.

If you love dolphins and DRC, you definitely don't want to miss Dolphin Days!

Make sure to let us know if you watch it and what you think!

Hello everyone at the DRC. I have watched 3 episodes of Dolphin Days which is currently being broadcasted here in the UK on Animal Planet. I am so intrigued by these beautiful creatures intelligence and love towards the human species.

They are so beautiful and loving and I must admit, every episode I have watched (3 so far) I have just had tears in my eyes. Who could in their right mind ever hurt dolphins???

It has been my one passion in life to swim with the dolphins... Mandy, is there any chance I could come and spend my holiday at the DRC and help with the care of these beautiful animals (I do not mind getting dirty or mucking up)??? I am sure you must be getting loads of offer to help out at the DRC and I am not the only one with this wish....

I am truly in awe of you and your whole team of dedicated staff who are working with the dolphins and I am most grateful to you for making the series of Dolphin Days and sharing the wonderful experiences you encounter whilst in the process of working with these beautiful creatures. Thanks! Is there anyway I could be of any help in your cause? Please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you so much for all of your kind comments about Dolphin Research Center and Dolphin Days. We do have an active volunteer program at DRC. If you'd like to find out more information, please visit, then click on Help DRC to find the Volunteer information. Volunteers do not work directly with the dolphins, but there are many different tasks with which they help around the facility and we are very grateful for the assistance.

You can also learn more about our interactive programs, such as the Dolphin Encounter, on our website. From the homepage, click on About DRC, then Get Wet with a Dolphin to find out more.

The daily admissions and the fees for our interactive programs help to support the care and feeding of the dolphins and sea lions in our family as well as fund our education, research and manatee rescue missions.

Thanks again!
